Rhomboflex 516, posture stabilizer by Dr. Wolff - Butterfly Reverse
Due to the nature of the equipment, training on conventional postural stabilizers is often performed with the arms abducted. Raising the arms requires significant activity of the upper portion of the trapezius muscle. However, this muscle is tense in many people, making excessive strain contraindicated.
The situation is different when training with the Dr. Wolff Rhomboflex 516. The arms are moved backwards and downwards close to the body in a large range of motion, performing a butterfly reverse exercise. A particularly noteworthy feature of this movement pattern is the possibility of external rotation of the arms. Returning the arms while simultaneously externally rotating them promotes the closer proximity of the shoulder blades to the spine, thereby increasing the activity of the interscapular muscles.
The device's typical arrangement of the weight-bearing arm pads enables effective, posture-stabilizing training. The absence of a chest pad promotes auto-stabilization.
