The Ab Curl 536 is a medical abdominal trainer that is very gentle on the back . This is particularly important for patients with back pain or a slipped disc. Abdominal training devices usually work like this: the lower back is against a mostly rigid backrest. This is the other way around with the Dr. Wolff Ab-Curl 536. This means that the upper body is fixed in place and the lower back works with the movable back cushion. The cushion is anatomically correct and thus supports the lower back in an upright position. An individually adjustable cushion serves as a fixed point for the upper body. Thanks to the revolutionary lever system, the resistance can be controlled during the exercise by the pressure the patient applies on the back cushion. Weight plates can also be added to increase the resistance. This innovative movement concept creates a particularly back-friendly sit-up/crunch-curl movement for the best possible training stimulus for the abdominal muscles . In addition, the pelvis is straightened during the exercise and is partially trained if the exercise is performed correctly.The device is certified according to MPG 93/42/EEC Medical Device Act!
