Concept2 BikeErg - Ergometer with air resistance
Welcome to the Concept2 BikeErg, the newest addition to our product family. The BikeErg shares the same wind turbine and performance monitor as the Concept2 Indoor Rower and SkiErg, offering the same features and benefits that rowers and cross-country skiers already appreciate.
The BikeErg works with air resistance generated by the wind turbine. This resistance principle enables a smooth, responsive, and quiet ride. The BikeErg's air valve adjustment works like a bicycle's gear shift. You can determine how the resistance feels. Unlike most exercise bikes, the BikeErg, like a regular bicycle, is equipped with a freewheel. When you stop pedaling, the wind turbine continues to rotate.
The Performance Monitor allows for personalized training and provides instant feedback during your workout with a wide range of display modes. It allows you to accurately measure your performance, monitor your progress, and compare your performance with others.
The BikeErg comes from a company with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing innovative, high-quality products. Regardless of your performance level—whether you're preparing for your next race or simply looking to get back in shape—the Concept2 BikeErg is perfect for you. The Performance Monitor sets the Concept2 BikeErg apart from other devices. You can precisely measure your performance, monitor your progress, and compare your performance with others. The Performance Monitor displays your performance in speed, 1,000m average time, cadence (rpm), watts, or calories for each workout and saves this information either to internal memory or an optional USB flash drive. The Performance Monitor supports wireless heart rate monitoring via ANT+ and Bluetooth, as well as the free Concept2 app, ErgData, third-party apps, and participation in our online challenges. The BikeErg requires no external power supply. The PM5 uses two D-cell batteries. The spinning of the wind turbine powers the monitor during your workout to extend battery life. The BikeErg is equipped with the same wind turbine as the Indoor Rower or SkiErg. Since the wind turbine's air resistance only increases when you exert yourself, you always maintain control over the load. The air damper allows you to control the air supply to the wind turbine during your workout. The air damper setting on the BikeErg works like the gear shift on a regular bicycle: A low air damper setting is comparable to an easy gear when cycling. Both the handlebar and saddle positions are easily adjustable. The saddle height can be adjusted using our secure, tool-free system. The horizontal saddle position and saddle tilt can be individually adjusted. The handlebars are vertically and horizontally adjustable and offer three different riding positions. Prefer your own BikeErg configuration? No problem: Most standard bicycle parts can be easily attached to the BikeErg. This allows you to use your own handlebars, saddle, or pedals. The BikeErg uses a quiet belt drive instead of a chain. The self-tensioning belts improve durability and reduce maintenance. The BikeErg's aluminum frame and built-in transport wheels make it both lightweight and maneuverable. At just 26 kg, it weighs less than most exercise bikes. The BikeErg is easy to assemble and comes with everything you need for assembly: the necessary tools and simple, illustrated assembly instructions. Our equipment is known for its stability and durability. No matter where and how it's used: in rowing clubs, gyms, the armed forces, the fire department, schools, universities, or simply at home, our users all appreciate the fact that the equipment is very low-maintenance and lasts forever.
